โ Overview
If you’re looking for a budget gaming monitor with high refresh rate, low response time, and IPS quality โ iiyama GB2470HSU might just be your next favorite screen.
Right out of the box, the monitor looks clean โ slim bezels, matte finish, and a height-adjustable stand. Nothing flashy, but it feels well-built for its price. Setup took just a minute (HDMI + power), and my PC instantly recognized the 165Hz refresh rate.
Letโs get to the good stuff. That 165Hz refresh rate combined with a 0.8ms response time really makes a difference โ especially in fast-paced titles like Valorant or Apex Legends. Quick movements felt smooth and responsive, with no ghosting or motion blur. If you’re coming from a 60Hz screen, the upgrade is huge โ and noticeable.
It supports AMD FreeSync Premium, so if your GPU is compatible, youโll get tear-free, stutter-free gameplay. I tested Black Tuner in Hunt: Showdown โ it really helped brighten shadowy areas and spot hidden enemies. You can also switch between preset game modes (like FPS or Strategy), but I preferred tweaking the settings manually.
I donโt game all day, but I did squeeze in a few long sessions. Thanks to the Blue Light Reducer and Flicker-Free tech, I didnโt feel any eye strain โ which is rare in budget monitors. For daily use like YouTube, browsing, and a bit of work โ the colors are vibrant and the text looks crisp.
Sure, itโs not made for color-accurate design work or high-end 4K visuals, but for this price range (around $150 / โฌ140) โ it’s a solid pick.

The iiyama GB2470HSU is a good monitor. Although, in my opinion, 165Hz is not enough for eSport. That’s why I bought the AOC 240Hz monitor, which unfortunately has its drawbacks. I use the iiyama monitor as a secondary screen now.
Great value for money! The 165Hz refresh rate, 0.8ms response time, and IPS panel deliver smooth, ghost-free visuals. It comes with HDMI, DisplayPort, USB ports, and all the necessary cables – a rare bonus. The blue light filter is very useful. The built-in speakers are weak, but most users prefer external speakers anyway.
I’ve been using it for a few years. It had a zero-dead-pixel warranty. After purchase, there were none. After a year, one pixel failed. I emailed them to ask if the monitor could be replaced/repaired. No one responded.
